Using the Baby Bullet to make homemade baby brown rice cereal and oatmeal. Note: when making these two selections always make sure you cook it before feeding to baby. Side Note: When making homemade baby oatmeal NEVER use instant, too much sodium for baby, ALWAYS use the old fashioned stove top oats. These are great and filled with iron for the little one. When done, just make a little batch with boiling water and serve. You can also add in some yummy fruits and/or breastmilk or formula in the oatmeal and some yummy green veggies to the rice cereal! It takes less than 5 minutes to make (together)! Enjoy.

Yummy!
This is the face of happiness that BEAT THE HEAT! I made my 7 month old a healthy, delicious smoothie. I used about 2 t/l spoons of unsweetened frozen blueberries, an ice cube amount of frozen pureed banana (thawed) and freshly expressed breast milk, about 2 ounces. To make it easier for him to drink I poked a larger hole in his bottles nipple (even though he drinks out of training sippy cups) I thought it'll be a little too hard for him and I wanted him to enjoy it comfortably. This is a treat that is good for ages 4+ months, just make sure there are no allergies and when giving your baby new treats every 3-4 days between that way you know what they are allergic to before mixing foods. Happy smoothie-ing!

One more year to go.
Have you ever felt like giving up?...What a coincidence?! So have I. And I'm sure the rest of the human population. Well, one can feel this especially during school. That is why I usually do, but I think about the benefits, like; having my own place, raising my kids in a better financial situation, and being able to get by! I'm in school to get my bachelors and having a 7 month old makes that difficult but I am so blessed that I can still manage to get it done. I just think, "ok, Rebecca, we didn't finish that other school and we didn't get a job with that medical assistant stuff, we have to finish this." I feel like it's different this time, this is something I am really into and I wouldn't have been able to do it without my number one supporter, my husband. I would always talk to him that pertains to my degree before I was in school and he said, "you can do that, just go to school for it" and *light bulb* I started school and I only have one more year to go, yes, it is a WHOLE 12 months, but it's 1 year, it seems like a shorter time thinking about it that way. So, don't feel bad and DONT quit school because you CAN do it. Humans are strangely strong without knowing. You literally can do anything you set your mind to, unless it's flying...or maybe you can, who knows? But don't go jumping off anything!

Way back when...my husband and I saw each other for the first time since high school. We were close friends all through high school and after but it wasn't until this moment we realized we should be together. He is my main supporter and has given me the most amazing son. This is my first blog post of many!
